Despite disloyalty and tension within the family, God's plan was not thwarted. God blessed Isaac and granted his prayer for Rebekah, who conceived and gave birth to twin sons, Esau and Jacob. God's word about these two sons affirmed that He had a grand and sovereign plan in the history of Abraham's family.
